LowDoc AU (lowdoc.au) provides information and tools about low doc and alt doc lending for self-employed Australians. This page explains in plain language what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
The Short Version
You can read the guides and use the income calculator without giving us any personal details. If you choose to leave your contact details or chat with the assistant, we keep what you tell us and, if you leave contact details, pass them to Arrivau, the licensed mortgage broker we partner with, so they can follow up. LowDoc AU itself is not a broker or a lender.
What We Collect
Only what you choose to give us, plus basic site statistics:
- Contact details you volunteer: your name, and an email address, phone number or WeChat ID if you enter one in a form or a chat
- Loan enquiry details: the loan needs and circumstances you describe, such as the amount, the property or your income situation
- Conversation content: messages you send to the on-site assistant and the replies, which are saved
- Website visit statistics: aggregate page views and country of origin (see Analytics below)
The income calculator runs in your browser; the figures you type into it are not sent anywhere. Please do not enter tax file numbers, bank account numbers, passport or other ID document details in a form or chat.
How We Use It
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the assistant service
- To pass your enquiry and contact details to Arrivau, a licensed mortgage broker, so they can follow up with you. We only do this when you have chosen to leave contact details
- To review and improve the guides, tools and assistant
We do not sell visitor data, and we do not run advertising tracking pixels (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
What Else May Be Recorded
Server Logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. For security and performance, Cloudflare automatically records technical data including: access time, IP address (for DDoS protection and regional statistics), browser type, and pages visited. This data is held by Cloudflare and not accessible to us in raw form. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Analytics
If we enable Cloudflare Web Analytics, it is a cookie-free analytics tool that only records aggregate data (page views, country of origin). We do not use Google Analytics or any cookie-based tracking.
Cookies
This site does not set any tracking cookies. Light/dark mode preferences are stored in your browser’s localStorage and are not sent to any server.
Third-Party Links
Our guides link to external sources including ASIC, APRA, the ATO, major lender websites, and comparison services. These sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.
Any sponsored content (clearly labelled) links to third-party providers such as BizCover. Clicking those links may be subject to those providers’ own privacy policies.
Your Rights
You can ask us what contact details and enquiry information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing the address below. Once your details have been passed to Arrivau, they also hold them under their own privacy policy, so tell us if you want the request passed on.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our technology changes. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect any revisions.
